Scope

This document provides guidance for material related parameters for functional design of buried thermoplastic piping systems for the following applications:
– pressure, when system components conforming to EN 12201 series, EN17176 series and EN 1452 series, are used.
– non-pressure, when system components conforming to EN 12666-1, EN 1401-1, EN 1852-1, EN 14758-1 and the EN 13476 series are used.
This document has been prepared considering EN 805 and EN 476.
At the design stage, precise details on installation conditions are not always available. The choice of design assumptions is left to the judgement of the designer/specifier. In this respect, this document provides general indications and advice.
