Scope

This document deals with significant hazards, hazardous situations and hazardous events (see Annex A) relevant to multi service vehicles (as defined in 3.1) when they are used as intended and under conditions foreseen or under conditions of misuse reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer.

Risks related to the interface with modules (e.g. passenger cabin, cranes, elevating platform, mortar concrete tank) are covered in this document but not the risks associated with the module itself.

This document specifies the appropriate technical measures for eliminating or sufficiently reducing risks arising from hazards, hazardous situations or hazardous events during commissioning, operation and maintenance.

This document is not applicable to machines constrained to operate by rails;

This document does not cover risk arising from the safety of traction batteries above 48 V.

This document does not address the additional risks for machines operating in potentially explosive atmospheres.

This document does not cover active driver assist and autonomous driving systems.

This document specifies the appropriate technical measures to reduce risks arising from the significant hazards, hazardous situations and events during the whole foreseeable lifecycle of the machinery as described in EN ISO 12100:2010, 5.4.
