Plastics piping systems for non-pressure underground drains and sewers for transport, infiltration and exfiltration of surface water - Unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U), polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) —Specification for pipes, fittings and the system.

Scope

This document specifies the definitions and requirements for unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVCU),
polypropylene (PP), and polyethylene (PE) structured-wall and solid wall piping systems intended
for transport, infiltration and exfiltration in non-pressure underground surface water drains and
sewers.

NOTE 1 Products complying with EN 13476, EN 1401, EN 1852, EN 12666 or EN 14758 can also be
used for transport of surface water.

This document covers pipes with or without perforations.
This document covers circular pipes.
This document specifies the test methods and test parameters for the requirements given.
This document is applicable for pipes and fittings which are intended to be used buried underground
outside the building structure reflected in the marking of the products by “U”.
This document is applicable to structured and solid wall pipe and fittings with or without an integral
socket.

This document covers products used for the following applications:
• Roads and highways
• Parking areas
• Other civil engineering locations - railways, tunnels, airports etc
• Green zones – forests, agricultural, sports grounds, gardens, other leisure facilities

Note 2: This document does not apply to agricultural (land drainage) or landfill application.

Note 3: Products intended to transport foul wastewater are covered by EN 13476, EN 1401, EN 1852,
EN 12666, EN 14758

Note 4: Products intended to collect rainwater from buildings are covered by EN 12200.
