Definition of mounting and families of waterproofing sheets for the leaching test (draft title)

Scope

Set basic rules, procedures and evaluation methods for the topic “Release of Dangerous Substances” by TC 254. The method is based on “Surface Leaching Test” from TC 351 (EN 16637-2; Construction products – Assessment of release of dangerous substances – Part 2: Horizontal dynamic surface leaching test).
- The mounting would be defined for flexible sheets.
- The contact with the water during testing should be similar to the application. Disturbance due to handling/contamination should be minimised.
- The grouping of product families should make the test procedure more effective when different products have the same components in contact with the water.
