Scope

This document specifies a test method for screening of certain semi-volatile allergenic, cancerogenic, mutagenic, and reproduction toxic substances, by automated thermal desorption gas chromatography and mass selective spectrometry (ATD-GC/MS) in textiles and textile products.
The test method described can be used to quantitative or semi-quantitatively screen for substances belonging to the groups of quinolines, anilines, nitrobenzenes in addition to other semi-volatile substances potentially present in components of textiles and textile products.
