Scope

This document specifies generic performance requirements and methods for design and assessment for the products and structures dealt by CEN/TC 53. The specific technical standards for the respective temporary work equipment within CEN/TC 53, e.g. working scaffolds, protective scaffolds, shoring, apply with priority. This standard as well as the mentioned specific standards take, in case of technical discrepancies to the regulations of the structural Eurocodes, precedence.
