This European standard specifies product characteristics of control equipment operating as part of smoke and heat exhaust systems and gives test methods, assessment methods and compliance criteria of the test results.
The control equipment is intended to be used for smoke and heat control systems in construction works.
Control equipment may also provide control for day to day ventilation and signals to other fire safety equipment under fire conditions.
Control equipment may be for extra low voltage or low voltage electrical systems.
For the purpose of this European standard, manual control points shall be regarded as part of the control panel.
