Scope

This document specifies a test method for the determination of settlement of blown loose-fill insulation applied in closed cavities. This test method measures the effects of humidity and temperature cycling; However, there may be other factors, such as impact, vibration of any kind which may influence a change in thickness. The test standard is limited to products after installation and excludes effects of vibration because of transportation (of prefabricated elements).
