Scope

In respect of 112-eCall (operating requirements defined in EN 16072), this document defines additional specifications for the provision of eCall for UNECE Categories for Agricultural and Forestry Vehicles and Equipment.
In respect of 112-eCall/TPS eCall operating requirements defined in CEN/TS 17249-4 (additional specifications for the provision of eCall for fit eCall for UNECE Categories for Agricultural and Forestry Vehicles and Equipment). this document provides confirmation of the aspects of TS 17249-4 that remain appropriate in the aftermarket paradigm; defines variations and additional specifications for aftermarket equipment to ensure reliable triggering, appropriateness of fixture, and minimisation of false eCalls, specified within the paradigm of being fitted after the first sale and first registration of the vehicle.
NOTE: Requirements that are identical to those specified in 17249-4 are, for consistency and maintenance, simply confirmed, rather than the specification text repeated.
This document also provides additional requirements and specifications for the aftermarket provision of eCall for Agricultural and Forestry Vehicles and Equipment via a third party service provider (TPSP).
