Risk Assessment and Life Cycle Assessment of Nanomaterials: Synergistic use of data for efficient and effective evaluations

Scope

The TS cover the full life cycle of nanomaterials, starting from production, to use, until its recycling and/or disposal. For each of the life cycle stages, the interpretation of release, exposure, and effect data for both LCA and RA is explained and advice is provided on how to facilitate decision-making based on existing data, including a probabilistic assessment of data sets. The document particularly focus on the interface between LCA and RA and aims to deliver an easily understandable document about the complex topic.
