Scope

This standard describes a test method for the determination of the heat transfer properties of textile materials (for example woven and knitted fabrics, nonwovens) containing phase change materials.
This standard can also be applied to other materials ( i.e. foams, foils, membranes)
This standard can also be applied to multi-layered samples.
This standard does not apply to pure or encapsulated PCM, for which EN 16806-1 applies.
This standard does not apply to textile fibres, yarns containing phase change materials (PCM), for which EN 16806-1 applies.
This standard does not apply to textile products, e.g. garments, mattresses, etc. made with PCM containing materials, for which EN 16806-3 applies.
