Scope

This European Standard specifies the performance criteria related to the health protection of people and the mechanical resistance for pipes used for the water supply. The performance requirements are expressed in terms of tightness of joints, permeability to pollutants, internal pressure strength, wall thickness, compressive strength and longitudinal bending strength. This standard includes and makes reference to the corresponding test methode and the evaluation of conformity of the product to this standard.
