This standard defines the functional requirements of systems that can be used as fire containment and control systems instead of full cross section partitions: - technical requirements in order to extinguish or contain fire and smoke emission;
- functional characteristics linked to essential requirements (e.g. safety);
- specific characteristics of such detection systems (e. g. thermal inertia, etc.) for automatic activation of the system by means of fire/smoke detector.
