This European Standard specifies requirements for safety aspects of the Air Conditioning systems, including
- CO2 maximum admissible rate as required by the TSI "Locomotives and Passengers RST"- rate and nature of germs in the ambient air,
- particles rate in the air,
- refrigerant toxicity,
- maximum admissible couple temperature/humidity in case of air conditioning
failure by hot summer conditions,
- heating and cooling safety devices,
- mechanical resistance.
