Scope

This part is intended to measure the photocatalytic self-cleaning properties of transparent materials under UV and VIS irradiation by evaluating its ability to decompose chemically absorbed fatty acids, such as stearic acid and the like. It can be used either to qualify certain products towards their photocatalytic self-cleaning properties or to calculate their photonic efficiency of decomposing fatty acids.
