Influence of materials on water intended for human consumption - Influence due to migration: Prediction of migration from organic materials using mathematical models

Scope

The procedure described, covers the use of mathematical modelling to estimate the migration of organic substances from organic materials into water. The organic materials are typically plastics. In principle, the procedures could be used to complement or replace the conventional laboratory experimental/analytical approach as, for example, used in EN 12873-1.
