This European Standard specifies requirements for production, production monitoring, design, and testing of brake pad holders to be installed on rail vehicles.
This European Standard is applicable to brake pad holders produced from cast iron or forged steel. This European Standard is not applicable to brake pad holders made of nonferrous materials.
This European Standard is applicable to the brake pad holders which are fitted to rail vehicles of main-line railways, private railways (regional railways, company railways).
