Scope

This part of this European Standard describes a miniaturized most probable number (MPN) method for the quantitative detection of enterococci in sludge,. It is suitable to evaluate the log reduction of enterococci through treatment as well as the quality of the end product.
The method has a limit of detection of approximately 10 cfu/g wet weight.
