Scope

The standard specifies system requirements for:
(i) Assessment of conformity with the sustainability criteria for biomass for energy applications;
(ii) Evaluation of the conformity of other standards with the arrangements defined in (i).
The standard relates to the systems for assessment of conformity with sustainability criteria, indicators and/or verifiers as defined by other CEN standards, together with assessment of conformity with chain of custody controls. The standard includes systems for the evaluation of other schemes and/or standards.
