Scope

The standard provides principles, criteria, indicators and verifiers for economic and social aspects related to the production and where relevant processing and transport of biomass for energy applications, up to, but not including the final energy use (e.g. from well to tank or the-like). It includes direct impacts and address issues like, but not limited to, human capability, economic requirements, employment, labour conditions, health and safety, land use rights and effects of scale.
