Scope

This European Standard describes a procedure for the determination of acid strength, acid and alkaline substance, of ethanol to be used as a blend component for automotive petrol. It should be able to adequately limit the strong acidity and the alkaline substance in such alcohol, equivalent to a pHe range of 6,5 - 9.
