Scope

This standard specifies a chromatographic method for the determination of higher alcohols (1-propanol, 1-butanol, 2-butanol, 2-methyl-1-propanol, 2-methyl and 3-methyl-1-butanol) and methanol in ethyl alcohol in the range 10 to 500 mg/L or even up to 1500 mg/L.
