Scope

This standard specifies a method for the determination of phthalates in sludge after extraction and gas chromatography Πmass spectrometry.
The method is applicable to the determination of phthalates (see table 1) sludge, and at the lowest mass content up to 10 µg/kg to 50µg/kg, depending on the individual substance.
The applicability of the method to other phthalates not specified in table 1 is not excluded, but shall be verified in each case (list of phthalates see Annex E).
