Determination of the migration of PAH-TEQ into food simulants

Scope

This European Standard describes a method for the determination of the specific migration of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) from paper, board and pulp into the food simulants water, isooctane or MMPO. The amount of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) is expressed as mg PAH per kilogram food or per square decimetre. The results were calculated as benzo[a]pyrene equivalents.
