Public transport - Automatic vehicle management systems - Standard interface for real-time information

Scope

The objective of this standard is, to define a Service Interface for Real Time Information (SIRI) about
Public Transport. The standard will be based on National and international projects such as
-Trident for a TRANSMODEL-compliant definition of the core objects
-VDV 453, 454 for data exchange between AVMS as well as AVMS and time table information systems
- RTIG , for real time information exchange
The standard will facilitate interoperability between information processing systems of the transport
operators (Automatic Vehicle monitoring Systems: AVMS) in order to allow a better vehicle
management as well as the delivery of real time information to end-users.
