Characterization of waste - Leaching behaviour test - Influence of pH under steady state conditions

Scope

This European standard specifies two test methods leading to comparable results for determining the influence of pH on the release of constituents from a waste into the aqueous solution in contact with the waste. In these methods the pH of the solution in contact with the waste is adjusted to specific values. T The methods are aimed at steady state conditions. These test methods produce eluates which shall subsequently be characterised physically and chemically. The methods are applicable for assessment of the leaching behaviour of inorganic constituents.
