Scope

This standard specifies directly or by reference the application and security aspects for cards and related requirements for On Board Units used in electronic fee collection systems based on Dedicated Short Range Communication. It takes into consideration both environmental and system related aspects and states minimum requirements of conformity. The requirements imposed by this standard apply to IC card itself, the in-vehicle card accepting interface device or the combination of both.
