Policy for the protection of personal data within the CEN and CENELEC system CEN/CLC Guide 37

Scope

This data protection policy ensures CEN and CENELEC:

- Comply with data protection laws and follow good practices in the area of personal data protection;
- Protect the rights of their Members, experts, service providers suppliers, business contacts, employees;
- Are transparent on the collection and processing of individuals’ personal data;
- Protect themselves from the risks of data breach.

This policy is based on the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which describes how organisations, including CEN and CENELEC, must collect, store, share and process personal information.
