Scope

This standard specifies the performance criteria for heat exposure and flame resistance, impact resistance, corrosion resistance, vibration/pressure resistance, response delay, operational reliability and sensitivity (ability to respond to a specified water flow) for water flow detectors in sprinkler and water spray systems used for fire supression. This standard includes the corresponding test methods and the evaluation of conformity of the product to this standard.
