Scope

This standard specifies the performance criteria for heat exposure and flame resistance, impact resistance, corrosion resistance, vibration/pressure resistance and sensitivity (ability to open within certain temperature parameters and ability to deliver a specified flow of water) for sprinklers used for fire suppression. This standard includes the corresponding test methods and the evaluation of conformity of the product to this standard.
