Scope

This standard defines the functional safety requirements of traffic signal control equipment. The electrical safety requirements, conditions of failure, interfacing with external equipment, and functional test methods are contained in (reference No of the parallel CENELEC document). This standard covers the functional safety requirements, of traffic signals control equipment permanently and temporarily installed, but excluding portable traffic control equipment.
