Packaging safety

European and International standards are an essential tool for supporting packaging safety. Child-resistant packaging and non-reclosable packaging, or accessibility criteria for labelling on packaging are just three examples of the contribution to safety.

Several European (EN) or International Standards (ISO) provide requirements, testing and assessment methods linked with the safety of packaging. Product packaging has a direct relation with safety, and manufacturers shall ensure that the packaging is safe.
