Scope

This document describes a test method to assess the resistance to permeation of pollution from contaminated soil through the wall of PE multilayer pipes into the transported water.
It is applicable for PE multilayer barrier pipes with a barrier layer made of aluminium.
In this document, synthetic petroleum blend is used as model substance and exposition period is approximately 2 months.
This document is not intended to test the barrier properties of the aluminium material itself.
