This document specifies requirements for industrial steel ball valves having flanged, threaded, socket welding or butt welding ends.
The DN range is DN 4 to DN 900. The PN range is PN 6 to PN 100. And the Class range is Class 150 to Class 4 500.
This document applies to metallic ball valves used for all industrial applications.
Additional requirements given in the relevant application standards may apply to ball valves used for more specific applications (e.g. for the water industry, the chemical and petrochemical process industry, the gas distribution industry).
