This European Standard specifies requirements and methods for the strength and leakage testing of rectangular ducts, including joints. It applies to ductwork used in ventilating and air conditioning systems in buildings, subject to human occupancy. The standard is primarily applicable to steel sheet ducts, but it also applies to rigid ducts manufactured from other metals, such as aluminium a and copper. The standard does not take into account the method of duct installation and support.
