This European Standard contains the requirements for safety for the design and installation of flat glass cutting machines, which operate by scoring and where the glass is lying on a supporting surface. This European Standard deals with all significant hazards pertinent to flat glass cutting machines, when they are used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer (see clause 4).
