This standard specifies specific safety requirements and their verification for the design and construction of potato harvesting machines trailed, mounted or self-propelled which carry out one or more of the following operations : haulm chopping, lifting, picking-up, cleaning, conveying and unloading of potatoes. This standard is applicable for machines which can be used without any modification for harvesting of other crops. In addition, it specifies the type of information on safe working practices to be provided by the manufacturer.
