Terminology and coding system of diseases

Scope

To develop a structure for classifications of disease and other patient states (symptoms, signs, problems, etc.) for use in clinical applications and medical records, health services management, data interchange, and information retrieval. The structure will be formalized in harmony with the results of work item 2.12 when they become available.
