This European Standard specifies the classes of permissible percentage tolerances for the defects which may occur after the construction of a surface dressing. This standard is applicable to all surface dressings (roads, airfields and other trafficked areas). NOTE: In general, most defects occur during the first twelve months after the construction of a surface dressing. The measurement of visual assessment after twelve months gives an appreciation of the durability of the surface dressing.
