This new CENELEC standard and IEC standard EN IEC 61439-1 applies to the definitions and service conditions, the construction requirements, the technical characteristics and verification requirements for low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies.
The standard is intended to support the European Directive on Low Voltage Equipment, but it is still not cited in the official journal.
